What to expect
We understand that the decision to visit a new church can be nerve-racking, so here's what you can expect during your visit to Rogue Valley Christian Church.
There is no dress code here. Your presence is more important to us than your presentation. Most people wear jeans or shorts; some wear suits or dresses. If you're comfortable, it's just fine.
When you enter the church building, you will be greeted by a greeter (or an enthusiastic church attender). You're welcome to grab a cup of coffee and say hello to people, or head right into the sanctuary and find a seat.
We begin each service with a time of worship, followed by a Bible-based teaching. After the message, we sing a few more songs. We take communion weekly at RVCC, with time set aside during our worship to take the communion elements. We also have a designated prayer room that is open after each service if you'd like to pray privately or with someone. This room is located at the back of the sanctuary.
If you have a prayer request or need, we invite you to fill out a connect card (located in the back of the chairs in the sanctuary, or online under the "contact" tab), or join us after each service in the community care space. There you will find people available to pray with you or talk with you.
If you're dropping off nursery - elementary aged kids, the kids' lobby is located at the middle of the hallway. In the middle of the lobby is a check-in counter, and that's where you will register your child for kids' church. Volunteers are available to answer any questions you have about the check-in/check-out process.
There is a junior high and high school Sunday school class that meets during the sermon. Students begin the service in the sanctuary and are dismissed after worship. There is no need to check in students for this class; they simply head up the stairs
We're excited to see you! If you have any questions, please contact Denise in the church office at denise@rvchristian.com or (541) 773-3144.
