We are excited to announce that we will be partnering with Helping Hands International in their annual Southern Oregon Makeover project happening from August 17 to August 24. Together with Helping Hands we have the privilege of serving 71 Five Ministries (formerly Youth For Christ), an amazing organization that has been supporting youth in the valley for over 30 years. They have purchased the old fire station building on West 8th street and have begun the process of converting it into a youth center. Together with Helping Hands and other churches from around the valley, will be helping with wall removal, sheet rock and roof demo, and roof system removal.
Please plan on joining us Saturday, August 24 for what is sure to be an amazing day of serving our community in the name of the Lord. We will be meeting at RVCC at 7:45a for some morning refreshments and a time of prayer before heading over to the project at 8. Plan on wearing work clothes and bringing a pair of work gloves.
We are also planning on providing lunch for project volunteers on Monday, August 19 and Friday, August 23. If you’re unable to help us on the 24th and would still like to participate by bringing food, this is a great way to get involved.
In order to communicate accurate numbers to Helping Hands, please sign up no later than August 16.
In light of this fantastic opportunity to serve our community, the plan for the men’s breakfast on August 24 is to jump in and help out with the Southern Oregon Makeover Project.
