The heart of our elder team is to lead, love, and shepherd the people here at RVCC.

  • Doug Skelton
    Current elder chairman

    Doug and Bonnie and have been attending Rogue Valley Christian Church since 1984. They have 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Doug is a retired architect having spent his entire professional career in Medford. Notable projects from his firm were 13 of 15 new Jackson county libraries. Doug and Bonnie have been active in the life of RVCC serving as Sunday school teachers, youth sponsors, missions supporters, greeters and Growth Group leaders since growth groups started. He and Bonnie also enjoy travel and camping. One of his greatest experiences was going to northern India on the survey trip and experiencing the desire of the people of northern India to know about Jesus. He loves this church and thanks God for having the opportunity to serve here.

  • Lon Patterson

    Lon was born in Nebraska, raised in Wyoming, and moved to Medford in 1971 when he was discharged from the Navy. He met Melody, a life-long Medfordite, and they were married at Rogue Valley Christian Church (then called Central Church of Christ). He was baptized at Rogue Valley Christian Church in 1979 and has attended ever since. Lon  enjoys hiking in the mountains, fishing, and hunting, but most importantly spending as much time as possible with his beautiful wife, Melody, who led him to Christ.

  • Larry Todd

    Larry grew up in the Los Angeles area and met Linda while working at Baskin Robins during college. They have been married for 45 years and have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. Larry was in the Air Force during Vietnam and he and Linda lived in Thailand for 5 months while he did combat missions in an F4 Phantom while Linda prayed for his safe return. After the Air Force, Larry worked for over 30 years in sales for the refining/petrochemical industry. He enjoys skiing, fly fishing, mountain biking, golf, and fitness. Larry is one of the drivers for the Mobile Food Pantry, he and Linda provide marriage mentoring for couples in our church, they are on the preschool rotation for our Kids’ Ministry, and they lead a Growth Group.

  • Paul Skelton

    Paul began attending Rogue Valley Christian Church in the mid-1980s with his parents (Doug and Bonnie Skelton). After completing college and returning to Medford he met Karin at RVCC. They have been married since 1996 and have two kids: Andrew was born in 1998 and they adopted Alex in 2002 from Russia. Paul and Karin have led LifeGroups for the last 10 years. Paul enjoys camping with family, riding road bikes with his oldest son Andrew, watching Alex play football, listening to both Andrew and Alex play in their bands, and serving with great brothers and sisters at RVCC.
